2010 has gotten off to a bang with a flurry of travel by Jason, Brian, Alan, Ward, Steve and yours truly. As many of you have seen, this is in an effort to show you one of the most exciting new product releases in JL Audio history, XD Mobile Amplification.

A product line this significant makes it difficult to be humble. Tiny, powerful, efficient and GREAT sounding, these amps have exceeded all expectations and should blow the market wide open with opportunity. The magic in these amps is what we call NexD technology and it is all JL Audio. Other compact amplifier platforms used by our competitors simply did not meet JL Audio standards for power and fidelity. After more than 2 years of intensive research and development we have conquered all of the hurdles associated with real power in a small package and beginning this month you will begin seeing just what I am talking about.

XD amplification is simply the best solution for 2-seat sports cars, ATVs, Jet Skis and motorcycles. Better still, this platform allows you to install no-compromise power and fidelity in full-size applications with even greater flexibility and stealth at very affordable price-points! Beginning this month you will be able to order these in the following configurations with more models coming this summer.

XD600/1 (600w x 1 @ 2ohms, 500w x 1@ 3 ohms, 400w x 1@ 4ohms)
XD600/4 (100w x 4 @ 2 ohms, 75w x 4 @ 4 ohms)
XD600/6 (100w x 6 @ 2 ohms, 75w x 6 @ 4 ohms)
Also, all XD models will be available in both Mobile and Marine versions!

So, where does XD stand in relation to the rest of our amplifier models? Here is how it all shakes out. J2 is our entry-level choice giving first-timers and those on a tight budget the opportunity to buy real solid JL for minimal dollars. Next, XD is taking over the price-point of our G-Series line that will be phased out in the coming months while improving fidelity, efficiency and flexibility in a very, very small footprint. Those looking for more power, uncompromising fidelity and small size will move up to the HD series of amplifier. Lastly, our industry icon the “Slash” series of amplifiers will continue in the current v2 configuration simply because these amps remain valid and extremely popular (think “Coca-Cola Classic”).

As though this were not enough, the much anticipated Evolution C3 convertible speakers are on the verge of shipping as well. These flexible, high-quality speakers fall squarely between the C2 and C5 models while offering the flexibility to install them as coaxials or components in one package, one sku. C3 features the familiar and flexible high quality crossover package you are familiar with and a new high-tech polymer frame for lightweight and durable performance in a variety of applications. Lastly, you get that great JL Audio Evolution sound quality!
